to ryerson and had just recently completed mymasters where i did research on lgbtq issues so the firstthing i did when i came was to seek out the positive space ally group on campusand connect

with them to find out what they wereabout what they were doing and how i could become involved for me it's about building community within the lgbtt2s i qq community and our allies to build allies to helppeople understand what it's like to be part ofthis marginalized community as an opportunity to celebrate as wellto bring people together to build that community to get support i think that positive space ryersonaccomplishes many of those things.

my dream for positive space ryerson in 10 years is that there's no longer a need for positive space ryerson to exist that we have overcome all the boundaries, the barriers, the challenges that lgbtt2s i qq people face i would sing "proud" by heather small it's a song that speaks to me and i use it in presentations when i give keynote presentations the theme of it is pretty much: "what didyou do today and what have you done today to make yourself proud?" and it's a question that i try to live by

every single day to do something thatmakes me proud
