karate for kids

Image
well, we started off in doing the karate 4kids, the younger age, the tigers, and they start as early as 3 year olds, and my boyswere a little bit older, they were 6 and 7 at the time. and they still had fun. they still cater it toward their age level. they can work together. and it is great to work amongst their peers. does not matter if they are younger or older. soon as we get in here, they welcome you. they did discipline right away with bowingthem in. and their engaging instructors are just phenomenalwith them. i see a great connection amongst all the instructorswith connecting one on one with the students. they will talk to them directly. they ask them personal questions. they just really have that family feelinghere where they want to get to know more than just drop your kids off, leave and come back. it is just a great family atmosphere.

karate for beginners

hi, welcome back. now what we're going todo here we're going to go ahead and strike towards the legs. we're going to start goingfor the shin, pretty much. there we are, or the back of the knee. now the situation withthis is, in a realistic fight you're going to want to go ahead and have the person benddown the knee for a take down or just to weaken the legs so he won't be able to strike you.so, you go ahead and strike to the back of the knee and then from there, go in to a clinch.now another thing to keep in mind here is to maybe have a partner to help you out. golight with your partner. of course you don't want to damage a partner of yours, otherwiseyou won't be able to practice this. you're going to go ahead and you're going to useyour hip. it's going to be a torque with the hip. it's almost like you're using a whip.the whip of the leg right there and you're going to go back and forth, one on one, oneon one, one on one, and so o...

yo. i'm karl. i'm going to teach you an aerial, looks like this: there are 2 kinds of aerials, and this here is the easier one. the harder version is called "gymnastic aerial." the aerial i just showed you is more difficult. before you can do learn the tricking aerial, you must be able to do a butterfly kick and cartwheel. that won't cut it, jim. you need a cartwheel as powerful as this. you must have a good flexibility, unless you want your aerial to suck. the more flexible we are, the easier the aerial. aerial is basically a cartwheel without hands. we can start learning this move by doing a cartwheel on 1 hand. if you mastered that, try doing it with no hands. in order to do it without hands, we have to have massive speed. if our cartwheel is not as quick, we can't do an aerial. we have to bend our lift-off knee a little bit, just so we could spring off from it. the higher our back leg goes, the less we have to rotate during aerial. this particular exe...

the problem with martial arts is verysimple any pretentious person in the entireworld can call themselves a master and even agrand master because there are no regulationsgoverning martial arts meaning even though a man has neverfought he can call himself a master of fighting and open a martial arts school embarrassingly ninety-five percent of martial arts schools are being run by men who haven't been ina fight since middle school seriously these grossly out of shape men pretend to be fighters but don't haveany video of them fighting and most of these so-called masters arelacking even a video of them sparring these 8th degree fat belts would notlast even one minute in a fight these fake fighters usually have a pieceof paper on the wall from some person they paid to give thema certificate these certificates are worthless becausethere is no set standard in martial arts meaning i could print a certificate foryou and say that you are a fifth-degree black about and no one would ...

o.k., we're going to go ahead and have sarihit me with some upper cuts. i'm going to go ahead and block them. go ahead, sari. now, rule of thumbs here. you can either a, stay where you're at, take it or b, while you'regetting hit, step back. there's pros and cons. if you stay here while she's hitting you,you have the positive being that after she hits, you go ahead and get close in to a clinch.the bad part is, if she's faster than you are, she'll hit and then you'll be open whenyou're going in to a clinch and she will strike at you and do more damage than as if you juststep back, and then from there maybe go for a kick. so, depending on what you want torisk. you want to go for a clinch, you might risk getting hit. if you step back, you couldgo ahead and go for a strike, if she's open . however, being far and away, also letsher attack at you too. she can go ahead and strike you in the legs, or maybe bulrush you.and that's, bam. and tha...

today we do ushiro geri – the foot step backwards one of the strongest techniques in karate the ushiro geri hits with the heel first you turn around 180Ⱐat this point make sure the knees stay together and the body is straight the defense goes towards adversary and the knee is tightened from here the heel draws a straight line backwards to the goal and comes back in the same way at this point turn towards the adversary first go slowly then go strongly now a tip for the advanced people: ushiro geri with two hip inserts at the beginning when you turn to avoid the adversary sees what you're going to do you should not just turn and leave but rather the movement should start from the center of the body, from the hip first use the hip and the rotation shows the start it's important for a smooth crossover the second point is during hit when the leg is stretched if i make ushiro geri right, the right hip goes down the hip goes down ... ... turn there is more power in the foot ...

welcome to gyaku-waza, the art of protecting oneselfagainst unprovoked acts of physical violence. the term, gyaku-waza [逆暀], literally meansreversal-techniques, and describes a group of close-quarter self-defense practices originallydeveloped to be used against being violently seized and held or controlled by an aggressiveopponent. such close-quarter methods contrast the kind of defensive strategies commonlyused against distanced-based impact-style attacks such as being kicked, punched or struckby an opponent. gyaku-waza brings together dozens of time-honoured escape and counterpractices into a single study and represents an integral part of the overall curriculumof koryu uchinadi. dating back to a time before the developmentand propagation of modern styles, these old-school self-defense practices are based entirelyupon those original empty-handed and one-against-one domestic acts of physical violence, whichhabitually plagued the 19th century southern chinese culture, from wher...
